Improving Dialogue Within Chicago's Music Community

In Fall of 2005, the Chicago Music Commission and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs launched a new innitiative to serve the city's music practitioners.

Inspired by the popular "Artists at Work Forums," for Chicago's visual artists, this new series invites musicians, advocates, and related professionals to discuss the current state of making a living through music in Chicago. Admission is free.

An all-star line up of songwriting talent discussing the craft of songwriting and surrounding issues.
Topics include:

  • How to get proper credit and payment.
